- Many events and activities today start with an Indigenous land acknowledgment. These acknowledgments range from a formatted routine statement to others that may cover a lot of ground. The question has been asked, why should we do land acknowledgment? Others will ask what is a good land acknowledgment. I’ll share information about how Indigenous people view the world and how this relates to the land that we all share. Gaining this understanding will help you determine what you believe to be a good land acknowledgment.
